    Question Gas detectors

    Hi all,

    I am working as process engineer since last 1 year, i have completed my Bachelors and joined a EPC firm, i am having so many questions in my bag which are unanswered, one of them is

    How do we select the requirement of gas detectors, and what are various types of gases that need gas detectors, and also what are international standards that i should follow in order select the location for tha gas detectors.

    Achmad Nur Eddin, you wouldn't happen to have the following UL standards would you?

    UL 464 – Audible Signal Appliances.
    UL 1480 – Speakers for Fire Alarm, Emergency, and Commercial and Professional Use.
    UL 1638 – Visual Signaling Appliances – Private Mode Emergency and General Utility Signaling.
    UL 1711 – Amplifiers for Fire Protective Signaling Systems.
