when should we use gas detectors inside the onshore control room?

what is the standard that specify the usage of certain type of detectors(gas,fire .flame hydrogen,....etc) in different area of onshore gas plant?

dear friend
it is a Safety concept locating detectors in right place. but if u like to know more, u can study BS 5839.
but if there is a HVAC system inside the building, 3 gas detector by voting 2 out of 3 shall be installed in front of HVAC suction.
and also you can install 2 gas detector in front of HVAC outlet in control room for more security (toxic gas detection use).
