Thread: Improving the pore volume multiplier. What is an acceptable value?

  1. Question Improving the pore volume multiplier. What is an acceptable value?

    Hi,

Maybe each of you confronted to the fact that you need it a pore volume multiplier in HM process.
What do you consider an acceptable value? Could be less then 15% up or down good enough not to revisit the geologist, in order to ask him for further adjustments to the model?

Re: Improving the pore volume multiplier. What is an acceptable value?

There is no rule what is aceptable since the correctness of your PVMULT is guided by your well performance ( rates and bhp) . I had cases with 1000 percent PVMULT .
So the main rule is to match your rates and bhp and if you have PV greater than 100% then you need to reteurn the geomodel to your geologists
