At what percentage of oil based mud contamination (OBM) level is the sample no longer acceptable. For example if OBM contamination between 5% and 10%, is the sample still valid?
The reason I ask is that during drilling operations, we collected MDT samples with various percentages of Oil Based Mud (OBM) contamination, and now I have to select some samples from these for further detailed PVT analysis. In addition to other parameters like opening pressures, what is the acceptable limit for OBM contamination?
