What is the lowest temp for which charpy test is not required in B31.4? It appears to me to be 32F. The code says that below 32 F pipe must be Charpy tested to the lowest temp it is expected to experience. (There is a qualification that the stress must be at a certain high level. Lets assume that has been met)

Many B31.4 pipe specs I see have a temp range of -20F as the low limit, but make no mention of charpy test. Is this corrrect approach.

Also I would assume that fittings should also be tested as well. This is different than the way the limits are described in B31.3.

Is this correct??
