Hello!
Im actually looking for an process simulator for our company.
We are a small company with about 15 people working there.
About 3 to 4 people (engineers and process engineers) including me will use the software.
At the beginning i will be the first person who will start to wirk with it and after im a little bit more into it my colleagues will join me and i will help them to get into the programm.
Our products are procedural systems mainly for the gas industry.
Regarding to this we use some standard parts like compressors, valves, heat exchanger, pumps etc..
We also use precious metal catalytic reactors (specially for oxidation of hydrocarbons).
I think this should be also no problem for a process simulation tool.
The next part is a bit more complicated. We use also molecular sieve dryer for the removal of water and CO2 of the gas stream.
This units are running in batch cycles, in which one unit is adsorbing while the second one is regenerated by heat. In this process the whole pressure vessel is heated to desorbe the water and CO2.
The last important element for us is the usae of scurbbers. Specially scurbbers for CO2 with water or water and NaOh.
It should be possible to design this as bubble coloumn.
Actually im havin an Apspen One trial license but the program seems to be not so friendly for users who have never used a process simulator before. From some other comments i saw that maybe chemcad is more user friendly for beginners.
Which programm would you suggest for our projects?
Some help would be really nice because its not so easy to make the right choice as an total beginner in process simulators.
Greetings
Silver
