Help : Reservoir Simulation !

Hey all !
Its been a long time since I last came here !!
so currently am working on a project , in which am given a history matched eclipse model with existing field facilities ( injectors and producers)
and am asked to further develop thsi field using the development options that will maximize the flow efficiency !
we're given all the reservoir data, conditions and everything ..
it has an aquifer that provides and edge water drive.


so i know i should check the oil saturation data on the model to know where the oil accumulated and where i should put my producers and injectors
but its not working out with me ! the efficiency keeps on decreasing and i dunno why !!

so where should i locate my injectors (water, gas ) ? and the producers (horizontal , vertical )?
and when should i shut them and open them ? in order to maximize the efficiency ?

just tell me general tips that i can follow .. seriously anything could help !!

put the injectors if water under O.W.C and if gas above the G.O.C ....do you have Eclipse software bcz I have just petrel and I have very good course from my university about Eclipse it can be so useful for you ...let's exchange and help each other if you want and also am interested to work the same project you are doing so we can co-operate to get befit both of us .

ignore if too late
for NFA (no further activity) forecast check what is going on:
- is field pressure falling too much? is field liquid rate constant? if not it might be that you can benefit from more water injection. check with buckley or analogs what recovery is possible may be you are at the limit already.
- do you get similar ultimate recoveries and rates for all producers or you have got some geology/faults effects? some producers much worse?can you change pattern?
- do you loose oil to the attick (gas cap zone)? then may be injection should be less or more thought put to it...
- if you have only few wells may be you need denser well spacing? 5-9 spot, peripheral or line drive locally?
