Mature Fields

I'm doing a research about production optimization in mature fields. I would like to know which problems can be found to produce mature fields. Please any information will be very useful.

Too many to list here - suggest you do quick literature search on SPE, or even Google

Water production, well integrity, reduced pressure, sand production, fines migration, skin, emulsions, scale..... the list goes on and on and on....

Very much helps to narrow the focus somewhat - for example, get some clarity on whether you are talking oil or gas, if oil, heavy oil or light? Carbonate or clastic? etc etc They all have their own rafts of issues.

I would suggest you to look at SPOR monograph. It is hard copy book and soft format wasn't available. It is mainly about IOR initiatives in the North Sea.
