    facing problem in petral

    hi i want to generate isochore zone in petral how to do it form input data.what is the difference between surface,horizon,zone, and layering in petral.

  3. 1-The surface is 2D grid wich we get it from seismic or generate it by make edit surface and will be under input tab.
    2-Horizon is like a surface but we used it in model tab to build the model after we build the gridding and skelton by using ( well tops and surfaces from step 1).
    3-Zone is the thickness between two hrizons.
    4-Layering is howmany layers you will divided the zone.


    to cerate isochore form input data :-
    1- define which zone you want to build isochore for it (choose two well tops to be top and base)
    2-highlight the the well top
    3-click on the other by right click and choose creat iso chore point
    4-open make edit surface and use this point as main input and select thickness as attributaes
    5- isochore as algorthem
    6-click ok
