Thread: Gaskets according to flange facing

  1. Gaskets according to flange facing

    Hi everybody,

I am studying about flanges and gaskets. I am a little bit confused about flange faces. For any Raised Face, can we use SPIRAL WOUND GASKET and FLAT RING GASKET if available (NPS and Rating allowed by codes ASME B16.5, ASME B16.20, ASME B16.21)

Also, for ASME B16.47, do RTJ Flanges (300, 400, 600 and 900) are different for series A and series B?

Thanks in advance for helping me in this connection.
