Thanks
Thanks a lot for this nice report
Thanks
Thank for this valuable document with havy tools...

now practicaly =
two questions :
....How to tackle flow induced pipe vibrations ????
And when the vibrations become dangerous ????
--------------------
I have heard that Shell and Total for instance have introduced new guidelines for this purpose .
These are to be used for debottlenecking only...because the problem is discovered afterwards on site several years or months after decommissioning and not at the design stage !!
1/ The basis is it find out the exciting frequency
2/ Then find out with Ceasar Dynamic module (or other FE packages) for the considered pipe the various own / proper frequencies.
(1st, 2nd, 3d,..).
Then avoid coincidence (keep way from each others) (1) and (2) above by playing and tuning the piping support functions or the spans of the pipe or both ....
....or even changing (1) by changing the flow , which means changing the flow velocity... and consequently move safely and away the exciting frequency

I suggest to all valuable member ..to expand this thread and talk about these practical thechniques
I will come back to this..
but lets hear from you
..you opinions and ideas please
