    Dear friends,

    Can some one post the formulae or spread sheet calculation or software link for estimating the pressure drop in a superheated steam pipe line .

    Dear Venugopal,

    I think Darcy Equation is quite accurate to calculate pressure drop for superheated steam. Use Churchill equation for Darcy friction factor calculation. Use Two-K method for calculation equivalent length of fittings. Use specific volume limitations as suggested by the Crane manual TP410.( Delta P <10% of inlet pressure- Use either inlet or exit specific volume, and Delta P >10% but <40% of inlet pressure- then use average specific volume of inlet & outlet condition).
