Question for HIC, SSCC test requirement

Please advise about below.

I have received carbon steel welded pipe inquiry from one of my clients.

My question is whether it is mandatory to carry out HIC/SSCC test as verification when material requires to comply with NACE MR0175 or it is applied to H2S service.

About HIC in ISO 15156
The equipment user shall consider HIC/SWC as defined in ISO 15156-1 when evaluating flat-rolled
carbon steel products for sour service environments containing even trace amounts of H2S and shall consider HIC/SWC testing of these products.
And regarding SSC, steels complying with Annex-A are considered already SSC resistant. Hence no testing is required for SSC.

But finally it comes to client requirement. He may always ask these testing. But if they specify only complince, then you can avoid them
