I think the main issue is the reservoir damage that the LCM material can cause. There must always be a plan to get rid of the LCM material (if in the reservoir zone), either through acidizing or other chemical intervention, to restore the reservoir permeability as much as possible. The LCM material itself can be selected as to minimize the damage, accoding to the reservoir formation characteristics.
