Minitab is a software package for processing statistical data. It was developed in the University of Pennsylvania as a lightweight version OMNITAB * statistical analysis program developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology .
Today* Minitab is often used in combination with methods Six Sigma * the CMMI and other statistical procedures* based on the development of methods.
Using Minitab:
- data and managing files - spreadsheets to improve data analysis;
- Regression analysis;
- The power and sample size;
- Tables and graphs;
- Multivariate analysis including factor analysis* cluster analysis* correlation analysis;
- Non-parametric analysis - a variety of tests* including a vocal test* runs test* Friedman test;
- Time series and forecasting - tools that help identify trends in the data* as well as forecasting future values. Chart time series* exponential smoothing* trend analysis;
- Statistical Process Control;
- Measurement System Analysis;
- Analysis of variance - define the differences between the data points.
