Starting an independent oil and gas operator - Seeking Advice

Hey! I am interested in starting an oil and gas operator in Texas after years of experience working in oil and gas. Does anyone have any previous experience starting a small independent operator? I am familiar with the forms and permits required per the RRC, but I am interested in the process of raising capital and setting up deals on a small scale (think ~10 wells/150 bbl/day). Any advice is greatly appreciated!

BTW, before you become an operator in Texas, you need money for a bond for your operatorship and liability insurance for your company, at current oil price 150 bbl/day x10 x $40/bbl can't even pay the bond fee and insurance premium.
