Thread: Flowing Bottom Hole pressure and well water cut

  1. Flowing Bottom Hole pressure and well water cut

    Hello everyone,

I have a very basic question but I would like to ask to clear it through.

How does increase in well water cut decreases flowing bottom hole pressure?

I know flowing Bottom hole pressure and static bottom hole pressure are inversely
    proportional to each other.

I would love it if anyone can explain relationship betwene FBHP, SBHP, THP and WWCT with reference to water cut increase or decrease.

    Thankyou,
    Soman Ahmed

An increase in water cut will definitely increase you BHFP while your THP will decrease. As your BHFP is increasing a pressure drop (Pr-Pwf) will be decreasing and less fluid will enter the wellbore. Of course all that highly depend on the amount of production GOR.
