Cool Comparison of ASME & European standards for Testing of Steels for Pressure Equipment

    Excellent Reference Material!

A study was conducted under the ASME Standards Technology, LLC (ASME ST-LLC) to compare ASME and European specifications for mechanical testing of steels for pressure equipment. The European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) and the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Codes assure the production of safe pressure equipment. There are three significant differences...

    Marty,

It is necessary to press the "Skip Ad" button after 5 seconds, in the top right corner to access the document.

I think that many documents are already posted on the internet, and the link is simply a link to already existing document. This avoids have to post any actual files here. Also, file size is limited here, and too small for many pdf files to be posted.

I use Ghostery and linkbucks is a data grabbing interface, it is not safe. Try it, turn on Ghostery and it will not allow you to proceed. Without Ghostery, there may be a Skip ad button and other times it will not let you proceed without a data mining quiz.

Your link tried to install a virus and take control of my computer. If that happens to anyone of you, turn off your internet connection and delete your recent history.

this document has been published by ASME, so if we could find another document ( maybe published by The European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) ) or other association, this Comparison will be interesting.

Thanks selmagis. Some very good info in this Guide with regard to:
EN 764-4, Pressure equipment – Part 4: Establishment of technical delivery conditions for metallic materials.
    EN 10204, Metallic products
ISO 15649 Petroleum and natural gas industries – Piping.
    Directive 97/23/EC
    PED
Guidelines related to the application of the Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC
    European Pressure Equipment Directive
    ANSI/ASME B31.3:1999, Process Piping (including ANSI/ASME B31.3a – 2000 Addenda).
ASME QAI-1:1998, Qualifications for Authorized Inspection.
