Thread: Define a Gas Stream having Catalyst

  1. Define a Gas Stream having Catalyst

Hey does any body knows how to define a Gas stream having a catalyst?
I am trying to model a cyclone separator, which separates Catalyst particles from the Gas stream.
I defined my catalyst as a Non conventional and given PSD for it but to feed the Density data for catalyst?

Are you trying to run a process simulator to solve this excercise? What do you mean by the term "Non conventional"?
You can have the two streams one is gas and the second is the solids(cat.) then have a dummy mixer with two streams in and on mixed stream out which in turn is fed to the cyclone. You have to have the properties of the cat. and I'm sure you need to know the particle size distribution.
