Recently I'm working on a project that involved with transferring wet steam through the pipe to a destination (It's injected to wells to warm-up the reservoir and extract the oil - CSS Process). This service is continuous. Depending on number of well the main steam line has to carry some amount of flow to the field. Recently they decide using and existing line that already has designed for a few number of wells reuse to transfer more steam to more wells. I'm looking for the limit of amount of flow that it can be used without of problem.


I know the API14E have a formula to calculate erosional velocity. As you know different engineering company have a different value to consider. What is the maximum value for C factor in API's Formula you suggest to go with to prevent erosion problem on pipe? If anybody have any idea and knows any reference(s) that I can use to for this i'll appreciate this.
