I would like to know that design or standard value of velocity in pipe when we sizing the piping, and how to make sure the velocity (calculated) is reasonable for engineering spec. or not. Please comment! Thank you very much.

Vs=223*SQRT(K*T/Mw)
K=Cp/Cv
T abso.Temp.
Mw: Mwt
Vs=ft/sec
please check of pressure drop must be below 40% of P1 (upstream pressure)
For contiuous Service Gas Velocity=0.5 * Vs
For intermittent service =0.75*Vs
