Thanks Mitsai for your response. Below are the drawing, we should calculate weld strength between tube to jacket closure and shell to jacket closure. type the joint is not butt weld but fillet weld.

What code you use.
For instance for structures in eurocode with fillet weld you use max value for the throat is 0,7xlowest thickness.
If you want to use less then you have to go check eurocode formula to see if stress is suported
