Dear respected admin and others,

I am a undergraduate student from Malaysia, we are in the middle of completing of our Bachelor in Chemical Engineering in which we are required to finish up the Design Project course.

Our objective is to proposed the chemical plant to produce 1,4-butanediol. Thus we want to know the detail about the process of producing 1,4-butanediol. As far as what we have done, we already did patent search and acquiring so much information. However we are stuck because too much information and those incomplete information lead us to a dead end.

We are looking for the full chemical reaction that occur, the kinetic data, the process flow diagram, the process and instrumentation design (P&ID) as well as the operating of the every equipment for producing 1,4-butanediol. We not hoping you guys to give direct answer, however if you could guide us on where to find the required information that should be fine already.

Last but not least, i want to ask that if i am proposing for 10ktpa of butanediol for internal supply it should be fine or not?

This is solely for the academic purpose thus, the information given hereafter will not be duplicated or copy into another form but will be cited into our research report. thus we are trying to get the most valid information as much as possible .
