    Buried and superficial pipelines analisys

    Hi I used AutoPipe for stress analysis in Subsea Pipelines, with ASME code B31.8, but now I work in refinery and i wanna know if the stiffnes of soil for K in Autopipe is the same analisys or I need another considerations.. TY

    (I hope you can undertand me, 'cause I speak a little bit of english)

    The stiffness of the soil depend on the soil you use. It does not bother, whether the soil is subsea or onshore soil.... Even in autopipe, based on your soil input only the stiffness will be calculated, so for refinery piping use the soil parameters as per the soil report (refer to the Civil department)....
