Thread: Inspection of Buried Pipelines

  1. Inspection of Buried Pipelines

    Cheers to everyone,

I'm trying to find a technique that, without excavation , can track unpiggable pipelines and at the same time can give us valid informations to do a rigorous inspection (-----s, metal lost, coating discontinuities, for example).
I could find some techniques that give us valid informations about the pipelines but they can't give both information:

    Pipeline Current Manager (pipeline location)
    Magnetic Tomography Method (inspection data)

Any thoughts about this? And you can give me more informations about another techniques to localize and inspect buried pipelines?
    Thanks for your time..

    Best regards

Those pipeline inspection is complicated, we are evaluate the integrity of unpiggable pipelines throw the use of ECDA/ICDA metodologies (NACE), witn correlations between coating indirect inspection techniques like DCVG o ACVG/PCM and probabilities of internal corrosion damages for determinning excavation zones for direct inspection, but the effectivity depend of the cuantity and reliability of the historical information and the type of internal fluids, with water lines is not a good technique, i considered that the stress concentrated thomografhic is a good option for trying and contrast the results with some escavations por evaluate the technique, in our case the budget dont permit to try this thecnique.
