Mechanical design of pipeline means selection ,design and sizing of any component of the pipeline. And this process takes a long time and have several steps and codes to work with.

they were blocked by my anti-virus software. I don´t know if somebody else has had same result.

Mechanical design of pipeline is to select material and then check the thickness of the wall that could be within limits or not as per allowable stresses in the light of your design standard such as CSA Z662, API 31.4, AS 2885.1..etc. Sizing of Diameter is derived from pressure drop calculations and shortly it is called as Hydraulic design.
