I was involved in some of these on the Bach Ho (White Tiger) field in Vietnam in the mid 90's. Have no information on hand about it, but you may find some doing a search. I believe the jobs were successful, primarily through dissolving the CaCO3 LCM material used by the Russians while drilling
Well, I think such type of stimulation wouldn’t bring you much of production increase. Unless you just removing formation damage, just like vinomarky suggested before.
I suggest you to pay close attention to hydraulic fracturing job; it was reported to be very successful in basement environment.
