pump discharge pressure and orifice

Can we use orifice to maintain the discharge pressure and how we calculate the desired dia of orifice with required discharge pressure.

Pump discharge orifice is generally applied to get % head rise to shut-off (for pumps having flat performance curve). Discharge orifice can not maintain discharge pressure of pump. What exactly you are looking for?

We are using roto jet pump of discharge pressure at 1200 psig by manually closing the discharge valve. To maintain the discharge pressure we have to install automatic / manual pressure control valve at the discharge of pump. We want to replace the pressure control valve with orifice. Is it possible and how?
