Hi all!
Can you help me with a following situation:
we have a water-free producing oil-well with a pump installed on it. GOR~110, BHP is close to bubble point pressure. It was managed to decrease production rate and choke size was decreased. Thus, we increased WHP and decreased production rate almost twice. According to the Darcy's Law, ESP intake pressure shall increase, however, we observe the exactly the opposite effect: intake pressure was constantly decreasing. After 4 days from the beginning of this test the choke was brought back to original size. All parameters but ESP intake pressure had this strange behavior.
Why it may behave like this?
