Gor?

hi, im new member, and i want to know what the Gas Oil Ratio can give us as information? a small GOR means that the gas quantity is less then the Oil quantity,so oil produced at the surface will be much more compared to a big GOR ?

GOR small ----------- gas less then oil----produce much oil
GOR big----------- gas more then oil----produce much gaz

you can say high shrinkage oil is usually more GOR that means a barrel oil in the reservoir will be may be half a barrel at the surface.
but as in the heavy oil with low GOR, the shrinkage will be very little say 1 bbl reservoir volume will be 0.95 bbl in surface.
