What the diference between telemetry system and scada system for ofshore facility???

Dear all friend..

I want to know basic info for the diference between telemetry system and scada system for ofshore facility???

which one, suitable for control & monitoring (remote) critical equipment e.i compressor? (high reability and availibility)

Could any body share with me?

Hi, according to my understanding, Telemetry it's a more global concept than Scada System. Scada System are mainly oriented to do monitoring and directly actuate on Plant Production Equipment, on a local loop mainly. Telemetry it's related to do monitoring to measure remote site implemented with o without scada system.
