    phast model

    Hi,

    I have to run a model in which LPG is transferred from Refinery to storage terminal through LPG pipeline. Which scenarios I can consider for model input??
    I was trying for long pipeline scenario, however the model says long pipeline scenario cannot be considered for mixtures. Please help.

    Regards,
    -Macvin

    with small size holes I would use the vessel leak model, it should not make much difference.

    If you have large holes or ruptures the dynamics in pipeline is complicated: you cannot leave the pipeline model out of consideration.
    Furthermore since you have LPG the flash is important at release. In these cases in the past I used to model the release with hysys.

    hi
    you can create a new mixture in phast
    LPG=propane +butane+...
    click on the icon matrials(global) then the icon materials (local)
    three icon will be activated (with color red, green, red+yallow)
    choose insert mixture (the color of the icon is red+yellow).

    I could add the mixture but I'm not able to run the same for long pipe line scenario.

    there is no relation between the long pipeline scenario and the material or mixture.
    can you explain again the probleme??
