    Quick Questions

    Dear friends,

I don't know much about reservoirs and I am facing a problem: I have an reservoir (gas) with water. Please help me with some answers to the following questions:

    1. Temperature in the reservoir remains the same as initial time during the extraction of the gas?
    2. The water content will increase or will remain the same ?
    3. How can I calculate the pressure at the wellhead, when the pressure in the reservoir is 1/2 the initial pressure?

Thank you very much for your help!

The water content may or may not increase but usually it increases

You can use darcy equation for gas if u have the other data available. Kh, u, Bg, re

    Thank you

I would like to thank you for your answers. I am wondering how much will increase the water content? Do you have any ideea based on your experience?
    Best regards!

    Re: Thank you

In addition to Umair's. If you dont have data to use darcy law, you can easily guess the Wellhead pressure. As in your case if I suppose you know the WHP at Pr=Pi and Qg=c. If Pr=0.5Pi and flow is still Qg=c then WHP=0.5WHP@Pr=Pi.

About water saturation: Water has gas solubility similarly as oil do and at the same time Water is also in its vapor form at high temperatures and pressures which are found in gas reservoirs.
Similarly as propane, butane liquify in case of gas condensate reservoirs water is liquified in dry gas cases with initially having Swc. Thats the reason Sw seems to be increasing from Swc in dry gas reservoirs. [I have not assumed exrternal source of water like encroachment and so on]
