Thread: Problems In Aspen Plus

  1. Question Problems In Aspen Plus

Hey Everybdy.........i need a bit of help......i am currently working on the gasification of msw and its modelling in aspen plus........as msw is a non conventional component therfore i am modelling it on lines of coal but for calculating accurate heat of combustion of msw i need to modify the values of boie correlation so that it can calculate the accurate heat of combustion based on ultanal, proxanal and sulfanal analysis.......can somebody help in trying to figure out how can i modify the boie correlation constant values in the input file...........and one more thing can we modify the input file generated by the backup file and would aspen plus respond to the modified input file......if yes ten how???????please help me i would be highly grateful to evrybdy......

  3. I am researcher working with aspen plus. As your question about how to put boei correlation I will answer as follows :

    1. Boeic correlation can modify in parameter under properties tab. You can specify which value that will you modify. first you have to make a new variable. under new variable you can modify the values in form of BOEIC, CIP1C, HCOMB.

    2. I will suggest that if you have fix heat of formation or enthalpy of your stream, you can use ENTHGEN in properties--> advance --> NCPropps-->ENTHGEN. Then you try like above to fill out the DHFGEN and HCGEN

If you want discuss more deeply you can contact me on agung.pambudi (at) tkk.fi
