Appendix Y : Flat face flanges with metal-to-metal contact beyond the bolt circle

Hello,

I’m facing this problem when calculating a category 3, class 3 assemblies of Appendix Y flange.

Y-3:
Parameter F_I’ is 0(Zero) for category 3, class 3 assembly.
When we use value of F_I’ to calculate C4 [=− (J_PM_P ) _ (J_S + t_I³ /F_I′ )], as F_I’ is zero , this can’t be calculated because division by zero is not possible.

Can you please help me, what to do in this case.
