Trays of column via simulation

Dear all, is anyone has some idea on how simulation tools (hysys, vmg, etc) can be used to determine the number of trays of the column. This is because so far I have used it to study the traffic but zero experience in determine the number of trays. So, appreciate if anyone has the idea or some docs or book on that.

you can use shortcut methods available in hysys to determine no of trays.. use shortcut distillation module..
