Sriram_be,
There is no such pressure vessel class in ASME VIII Div.1 as you have in Australian or some European pressure vessel codes.
If you want to design a pressure vessel for low temperature service, impact test may be required for materials and WPS/PQR for some components.
If the materials used in the pressure vessel are carbon and low alloy steel have a look at Part UCS paragraph UCS-66. For high alloy steels (including stainless steels), refer to Part UHA paragraph UHA-51.
Cheers,
Thank Ali

Sriram
Requirements for impact test are first covered in UG-20(f) of ASME Sec VIII Div 1. There you can get exemptions up to -20F if you comply with all the requirements. Othervise you have to follow the provisions given in UCS-66, UCS-67 & UCS-68 if dealing with Carbon & Low Alloy Steels and UHA-51 if dealing with Stainless steels

Sriram_be. .. the materials of vessels construction have a range of working temperatures, for example, and you will have to chech it, a steel SA-576 Gr.70 works between -20ºF and 200 ºF. This is just an example, the correct data will be found at the norm ASME
