Does anybody know how the package SURFER 8, calculates volumes.

I am tryng to use it for calculate OOIP from maps, but I can non understand the methodology they use. They use 3 methods (trapezoidal, simpsom rule and a variation of the last). They do not show the numbers they get to calculate the areas. They only show a final result.
