Thread: chemical storage sprinkler protection

  1. chemical storage sprinkler protection

    hi all,

    i'm facing the following issue.

On a chemical storage facility there is a pre-action sprinkler type that is just using water.

I'm just concerned that water is not suitable as it will spread chemicals+fire.
How and based on which standard shall i select to adopt foam sprinkler?

and in case i will adopt AFF, is the sprinkler head for a foam system different from the one of water system?

    Thank you in advance.
