Aspen one V7 installation in Vista

just want to share my experience..

i encourage you to use windows XP or 7 instead of vista..
i have tried aspenONE v7.0 on vista and it gave me a different interface compared to 7..
on vista, i cant use some of the tools and the calculation result showed a significant difference too..
i installed it on both version of windows using the same guide i found in this forum.

now i use aspenONE v7.0 on windows 7 and it works well...

I tried loading all options to load aspenone and in vain the same error is repeating "'Process License -Unable to load simulation engine -License error"
1. I tried all your options 7 times the same error persist.
2. Mine is Windows Vista Home edition service pack 1.
3. i already logged in as administrator and while applying license 710 license are found.
4. I went through all your posted reply and tried it .

Can u pls help me to help Install ..This software.

Assalam Alaikum,

I have Windows Vista home preimum 64 bit, and try to installing Aspen 7.1, but everytime I tried to install it gave error on SQL Server 2005, that software is not supporrted on this system, I tried to instal backward compatibility files also from Mircosoft website, but error remains as it it.

I am running Hysys 2006.5 successfully on the same system. But Aspen HTFS and HTFS+, whenever I tried to open some file it give error "Cannot create object error no. xxx" and exits. Will someone help on these issues on urgent basis. I am running through "Administrator account", many time i uninstalled and installed again but same error.

when installing Aspenone v7.0 on 7 home premium 32 bit and ultimate 32/64 bit, i use this guide

it works for me, both aspen plus and aspen hysys work well. just follow each step carefully..
maybe this guide will work for windows vista too, but still i dont recommend you using vista,
if you dont want to delete your vista OS, you can multi OS with 7, and i recommend to use 32 bit version

i have installed aspenone v7.0 on vista once. i can open aspen plus, hysys, and the other. i can run a simulation, BUT
the result is not the same with Luyben's book and some feature like plot wizard is not available to be used.

i have upload some aspen plus materials i found on the net on my scribd ID, surya budi widagdo, maybe it can be useful for you..

Dear all,

Please help me to design jacketed type pressure vessel, Using aspen team (HTFS+). I dont know how to get the thickness of equipment and the jacket.Dimension of vessel is 3,200mm inside diameter, 3,300mm TL, the design pressure of equipment is 3.8 kg/cm2 with design temp of 60 C material is SA240-304. And the jacket design pressure is 6 kg/cm2 and design temp is -20 C material is SA516-70. Liquid density is 973 kg/m3.
Highest liquid level is 3000mm. Ih ope some here can help to get the thickness of vessel and jacket using aspen team.

I generated the lice file with the key included in the package
ASPEN_LicGen.exe (2006 & 2006.5)

Is there any new file?

So it wont be license problem. but be sure that license you generated will work on the same system only. not in another system. and be sure that you shuld be a admin user. then only it will work.

FINALLY I DID

1. Deactivate UAC
2. run regedit32 vbscript.dll
3. Uninstall SQL, ASPEN,
4. REGEDIT and delete ALL aspen and hyprotech that I found
5. Install SQLx64 SP4, Backward x64
6. REPLACE // Rename the backward x32 with x64 in all aspen DVD
7. Follow strictly the step in the file

Voila.... UP and RUNNING SMOOTH in Windows 7 x64

Also, I have installed ALL features -like ASPEN BASIC ENGINEERING- and everyone is running perfectly

How do u replace/rename the file in the dvd? is there any files x32? i can't find any...

Please help...
