I have tested with,Vista 32 bit and Windows 7 32 bit system.not with 64 bit

if operating system is 64 bit,then also the installation is possible.

follow this steps.

1.uninstall SQL server from ur pC
2.download SQL server From the link i have given.Make sure that,u r downloading 64 bit SQL server from that webpage.
3.Install sQL server in MIXED AUTHENTICATION MODE.
4.Follow other installation procedures as such.
5.It should work....

did all of them... still didn't work...

perhaps it's because of my OS (vista 64 bit)? I noticed in several posts before that u tried it in vista, but the 32 bit one...

Mate, the links are dead. I am dealing here with a lot of bullshit from Aspen Installation..I am trying to install 7.1 in Win 7 x64 but it is quite difficult..I installed it without problems on x32 some time ago but now this x64 is making me swear like nothing else has ever done...if you could post the link for the sql server x64 download I`d be extremely happy!
