Can you help me with Simulation?

do you have some papers about History Matching?
If you have them, Please Share them!!
That would help me a lot!!

There are many papers about history matching. Then, you must mention what kind of history matching you're interesting in. Such as what kind of reservoir, or only success story. I have some, I'll send it to you.

History matching is not a simple thing to do unless you have a good reservoir model (comes from geomodel with less uncertainty) and supported data.
First thing you have to keep in mind is this is a "unending" activity since there are too many uncertainties beneath the surface.

Different reservoir rock usually has different way to do the matching process, such as naturally fracture (can buat dual porosity) and clastic (sandstone) reservoir. Perm, poro, and other reservoir parameters are also important.

What I'm trying to say is you can obtain papers and books related to this topic (hist. match). However, there are many of them, such as only success story of the history matching or the specific ways to obtain good match.

I hope this would help and answer your questions.

    history matching

big issue and very important in decission making for the field development
infill drilling, optimization, waterflood, steam injection,,,,

usually we first match the reservoir pressure then filed oil, water constraining the liquid
then we go localy well by well esp. for the wells which are off in the match

most of the changes in transmissibility, saturation, pore volume sometimes
    permeability ratio, relperm,

    you can have alook on

    Hi Marcow,
Probably, you could review a couple of Books:
1- Practical Reservoir Simulation by Mike Carlson
2- Basic Applied Reservoir Simulation by Turgay Ertekin

Regarding, HM there are not recipes to achieve it, but you can find some guidance to do it. HM is a kind of art.
There are a couple papers in the SPE from Toronyi. I was searching in my database but could not find them yet. ASAP, I find them will attach for you.

I would suggest reading the papers in this discussion thread regarding History Matching.

"Reservoir Simulation and History Matching (Multi-page thread 1 2 )"

I would say this is BEST LEARNED working with someone next to you. A Real Person and not the Internet
