Dear All,
I am looking for three very general textbooks on dimensional analysis, written by the famous G.I. Barenblatt, namely:
- "Dimensional Analysis"
- "Scaling, Self-similarity, and Intermediate Asymptotics"
- "Scaling" (not "Scaling phenomena in fluid mechanics", which can be easily found on the web ^^)
Despite these textbooks are very general, they can be truly useful in petroleum engineering, especially in the use of non dimensional numbers in EOR. I really can't find the first one (the older, "Dimensional analysis"), neither in a library nor on the web. So if you have these ones (as I said, especially the first and the last ones) in electronic format or paperback, please feel free to tell us, it is really worth, believe me.
By the way, Barenblatt wrote also a book on fluid flow in porous media : "Theory of fluid flows through natural rocks" which is marvellous, straightforward and of direct use in the field. I read it a few years ago in a library, and if someone has it, again I would really appreciate if he would agree to share this file.
Of course I can proceed to some ebooks exchange ^^
Thanks a lot
Totor
