I am pursuing P.G. course in Mechanical Engineering & working on academic thesis "steam piping stress analysis". I have used pipe wall thickness calculation formula of ASME B31.1 in my thesis work but I could able to not find any charts or nomograph for validation of it in Code/any piping reference book. Has anybody done model test for it?

I think that pipe thickness formula given in B31.1 is validated through some model test but i am not getting written statement in Code/books on it. I am not able to read or understand entire Code B31.1. if anybody knows about it, please help me to get validation statement of this formula.
