Aspen V7 license probelm

1. What windows version are you using? for vesion 64 bit special crak you have to use
2. Its better to install aspen V7 i had problems in V2006.5 in Hidraulics and gas plants dont converge solutions that converge in 3.2.
3. Follow the instrucctions posted in this forum to install but i recomend that install v7.

I'm trying to install instead Aspen Engineering Suite V2006 but without the desired suggestions. Reading through the posts I saw that someone had my same problem. the program seems installed (during installation exit is a page that requires a password but I left it blank) but will not start. The license keys were generated with aspen gen lic.exe but appear the following errors:

SORRY, FATAL ERROR FOR LICENSING ASPEN PLUS

Server: Error_while_checking_out_license (AEA_Aspen Plus) "returned error:" SLM Configuration Information "
Server: "No Net (default-SLM)" "returned error 18.The license for this product or feature could not be found. Be sure you are pointing to the correct license file or the license server is configured properly.
Appear similar to three errors (default-AET) and (default, AEA)
can someone send me the procedure to recognize the licenses and c-----d installation notes???
I think the generic license must be copied to some folder. but what??

Copy your magnitude directory to C: .... any location, then generate the licence file with the licence generator .

it will be located in the file that you want, and then browse this licence when you install the licence file.

firstly thanks for your advice. My mistake is that i generated the license file into the desktop and not in hard drive. Now it seems that both Aspen HYSYS and aspen plus work.

Hello everybody hopping that everyone is doing well
Firts I've installed AspenTech V7.1 just recently and in reality I'm not an informatician
but I give a help according to my experience
- Read carefully the steps of the installation guide users PDF book you can find it on the net easily Aspen Engineering Suite V7.2 in the PDF format.
- Befor installing desactivate your antivirus, and check your PC CPU capacity, disk free space ........etc
- Start the standard installation mode.
- You've to be patience during the installation especailly when the SLM (Licence servor manager is running because it takes much time)
- finally just fellow the steps of installation I swear the istallation is easy.

Hi guys

I'm having a problem on the hysys license problem
I've managed to obtain the 710 license found and have proven it. However, when opening hysys, it still says "Unable to acquire HYSYS_Process license". Can anyone please help me on how to solve this problem? Me and 4 of my classmates have gotten the similar problem. Any help, advice or hints would be appreciated.

I've just installed Aspen V7.1 recently, yes as you have said there was this mentioned massage but
I advise you first to launch Licence Gen 2006 when the generator is finished, you'll get if I remember well 5 or 6 fils which have 85 ko oki check if all the generated licence files have 85 ko,
when you arrive to the step of Add licence file during the installation selecte all the licence files oki, you'll get 710 licences, when the installation is finished lauch Hysys if the message insistes, please I advice you to relaunch the installation again and again oki I'm sure undaubtedly the hysys will start normally oki
as I did I've tried to install it more than 5 times till I get the runining of my hysys
just repeat the installation you'll get it oki

I am having hard time to install Aspen 7.3 on my Windows 7 Home. Tried all sorts of installing softwares...But still always shows rthe same error - "Unable to acquire Hysys license".

I
1. I generated license file - works OK
2. Point towards license file and install 710 files - worked OK
3. Copied .lic and strng.dll file in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Hyprotech\Shared.
4. Restarted computer..

But always gives same error. Tried installing / reinstalling 3-4 times.

PLEASE PLEASE SOME ONE HELP ME...I NEED TO COMPLETE LOTS OF PENDING WORK...

I GUESS PROBLEM MAY BE DUE TO .NET OR WINDOWS 7 HOME EDITION..

You have to replace the STRGXI2.dll file according to the installation instruction. Then it will work
