Sounds like you have defined the datum depth to be a negative number. Note, Petrel convention is that depth goes increasingly negative going down, while Eclipse is the opposite. So (for example) a GWC at 3000ft TVD SS would be defined as 3000 in Eclipse, while Petrel would consider it -3000
