  1. DNV phast TNT model

    Dear All

DNV pahst TNT explosion model has overpressure limit from 0.02-0.2bar, could anyone tell me how to set a concern data, for example, at 1 bar or more, we know, overpresure greater than 1 bar can cause serious damage or death.

    Exclamation Pressure levels

The TNT method calculating the distance to overpressure levels set in the explosion parameter group. So, go to Explosion parameter group and set the desired levels, Level 4 and Level 5 are empty! See the picture!

Recent overviews of fire hazard calculations for hydrocarbon pool fires are given by Mudan and Croce, Rew et al., Chapter 7 of the SINTEF handbook on fire calculations
and Chapter 6 of the TNO yellow book. Rew et al. produced a validation data set (burning rate, surface emissive power) which they used for the WS Atkins model POOLFIRE6.

  9. Re: DNV phast TNT model

    Dear all
Would you please guide me about TNT explosion model in PHAST?
How can I determine TNT weight in This software. I found just the option of TNT explosion efficiency as below pic. It seems there is no any option for determining TNT weight. Is it possible for PHAST users to determine it or not?
Could you please briefly explain about the main concept of TNT explosion efficiency? What is it exactly? How can we calculate it in our project?
    Thanks a lot
