water hammer solution

hi every body
in a project we have a raw water tank which water is pumped to different area from it. the tank is 10000m3 (t1)* 2 of pumps (one is duty and one stand by) sent water to another tank (t2) by about 5km pipeline and the height difference from start (t1) to destination(t2) area is about -400m. the posibility of water hammer is existed. could any body help me to choose best method for preventing water hammer? i know its method but there is no reference to help me choose best method.

i think you can consider about this:
1. regulator
2. larger pipe to preduce V
3. Shorter branch pipe lengths
4. Shorter lengths of straight pipe
5. Pumping station bypass
personally* i recommend 1 & 2( 2 should be choosen by app)

about items 2&3 i studied them before but they just described methods and do not guide about where they are suitable.

Dear Myth68
I think no matter which method you choose* you have to consider about how its convinient and cost. Bently Hammer just show out some figures* not refer to any method.
I dont know how lenght your pipe system or which fluid flow in* there's no many informations* so i just advice you make a table to compare between methods: cost* technical* lenght* complicated* replaced able*.... then you can choose easily. Or we can disscuss more
