MSc in fire safety engineering from University of central Lancashire

Hi* I'm Planing on joining UCLan for my masters in fire safety engineering. I'd like to know from someone who is studying here or somewhere else how this course is at UCLan? comparing to other Universities how good uclan MSc programme?

It depends what you want from it* what areas you specifically want to study. Greenwich is better for evacuation modelling* which is their specialist area* although UCLAN touched on it* we never really did anything that I could use practically (it 10 years ago I was there). For fire sciences and practical FSE* smoke control* fire behaviour* the day to day FSE stuff* then UCLAN is very good. They were working with Warrington Fire Research* long before it was sold off to Bodycote and then Exova* but that seems to have stopped. They also had a good relationship with the fire brigade training centre nearby* which meant they covered a lot of the areas that ex firefighters going into the private sector needed to have to become FSE's.

I guess that means that you have no idea about what Fire Safety Engineering is about. The big clue is in the word* which isn't oil or gas* but Fire... Maybe you look into it before posting an answer about as helpful and informed as Covfefe.
