API 560-Refractories requirements

I have been given a document entitled "Refractory Lining and Burner Brick Requirements" which references API 560.
It appears to be an addendum to the standard or an extract from it. It is dated May 2011. This is very useful, but I am trying to find out if this is a formal API document or just an 'unofficial' advisory. Can anyone help me please?
